Spencer Smith is an assistant professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School.

Before joining Michigan Law, Smith worked for the US Department of Justice during the Biden administration and for the White House Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama administration. His scholarship has appeared in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Journal of Competition Law & Economics, and Harvard Law Review Forum.
