Beck Boorstein is a faculty fellow at the University of Michigan Law School. They write and teach at the intersections of disability rights, administrative law, labor law, and public health.

They are particularly interested in using legal history to examine alternative approaches to rights conflicts and the limitations of anti-discrimination law, including how unionized healthcare workers have developed legal tools to address mutual sets of vulnerabilities with their patients.

Their work has been supported by the American Society for Legal History, the Yale Institution for Social and Policy Studies, and the Organization of American Historians. Beck is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
