Albert Pak is a clinical assistant professor of law at Michigan Law in the Community Enterprise Clinic. He uses his experience as an attorney, nonprofit executive, and entrepreneur to teach students how to provide transactions-related legal services for community-based organizations and small businesses.

Following law school, Pak received a Skadden Fellowship to support Detroit-based nonprofits, small businesses, and entrepreneurs at Michigan Community Resources. He then joined the Exempt Organizations and Impact Investing group at Bodman PLC, where he counseled nonprofit and other tax-exempt organizations on a broad range of legal, operational, and financial issues and held leadership positions in the firm’s pro bono and DEI committees. For his work with nonprofit organizations, Pak received the American Bar Association’s Outstanding Nonprofit Lawyer of the Year (Young Lawyer) Award in 2023.

Before law school, Pak helped launch 12 Plus, a nonprofit that provides postsecondary pathway assistance to high school students in underserved areas of Philadelphia. He currently serves as the vice president of the Michigan Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
