Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is Invited to the Spring 2022 Reunion?

Due to the postponement of the 2020 and 2021 reunions, we are inviting two cohorts of Reunion classes to participate in this unique spring event. Class years ending in 0, 5, 1 or 6, along with emeriti (50+ years), will celebrate their Reunion together. Please know that some events will combine classes from adjacent years in order to work with our venue and capacity restrictions. You can find more details about the events that will involve adjacent class years on the schedule.

  • Are International Alumni Allowed to Attend?

Yes! Alumni and guests arriving from international locations must comply with the U-M and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requirements and guidelines. This University webpage is updated with relevant information as details change.

  • When Can I Register for Reunion?

Registration will close Friday, May 27, 2022. Please note there will be no on-site (walk-in) registration during Reunion. Visit the Registration page for more information.

  • Will Children 12 and Under Be Allowed to Attend?

Children between the ages of 5–12 can attend by completing the vaccine attestation or by showing a negative test taken within 72 hours of arriving on campus. Children under the age of 5 do not require vaccine attestation or proof of a negative test.

  • Will There be Activities for Children 12 and Under?

While our Reunions primarily feature social events, intellectual programming, and experiences that appeal to adults, children of alumni are welcome to attend all programs. We are working on family-oriented outings and activities on and off campus. Please check the schedule for more information.

  • Will Childcare Resources be Available?

Michigan Law is not able to provide childcare services or make specific recommendations for providers. There are, however, many reputable third-party childcare services available in the Ann Arbor area.

  • What if I Need to Cancel?

A cancellation/refund deadline of two weeks prior to Reunion events (Friday, May 27, 2022), will be observed. Cancellations before the deadline will be refunded in full, cancellations after this deadline will not result in a refund. COVID-related exceptions will be made for cancellation requests after the deadline. If you have a COVID-related need to cancel after the deadline, please call our office directly at 734.615.4501.

  • What if the Law School (or University) has to Cancel the Reunion?

If the University or the Law School determines that the Reunion must be canceled (due to changes in the COVID situation locally or nationally), refunds will be given to all registered guests. All hotel and travel cancellations are the responsibility of the alumni/guest and should be made with the vendor directly.

  • Will Reunion Offer Remote Participation?

Reunion has been designed as a fully in-person experience. Some programming may be available for live streaming; more details will be provided closer to the event.

  • Do I Need to Register for Each Individual Event?

Registration is required for all events, even those without an associated cost. Your advance registration helps us plan the best event experience for everyone.
