Shay Elbaum is the Faculty Research Librarian at the University of Michigan Law Library. In this role, he manages the library’s faculty research service and provides research support for all patrons.

Shay is a member of the Alaska Bar (inactive) and the American Association of Law Libraries, where he served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Legal Information Technology Section from 2019-2021.

Before joining the Law Library in 2021, Shay was a Reference Librarian at Stanford Law School’s Robert Crown Law Library. He also served as a clerk for Justice Joel Bolger of the Alaska Supreme Court from 2015-2016.
