David Fegley, ’20, is a clinical fellow in the Civil Rights Litigation Initiative at the University of Michigan Law School. 

Fegley, who was a student-attorney with the Civil Rights Litigation Initiative during its inaugural semester in spring 2020, most recently clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Bridget McCormack and worked as a civil rights attorney at Salvatore Prescott Porter & Porter. As a litigator, Fegley specialized in employment discrimination and prisoner litigation, representing clients in both federal and state court. 

As a law student, Fegley served as a notes editor on the Michigan Law Review and was an active member of the public interest student community, volunteering with the Public Benefits Advocacy Project and representing clients as a student-attorney in three different clinics.
