The University of Michigan Law School faculty is internationally recognized for the depth of its legal scholarship, the breadth of its interdisciplinary and international perspectives, and its concern with both legal theory and legal practice. 

Members of the media seeking expert background or context on a legal issue or wishing to speak with a specific faculty member are encouraged to contact the Law School Communications Office for assistance.

In addition to our 81 full-time professors, L. Bates Lea Global Law Professors, professors from practice, and business and public interest/public service fellows, Michigan Law invites a select group of visitors, adjuncts, and lecturers to join the faculty annually—all of whom are passionate about helping their students learn the law both inside and outside the classroom.
