All forms of financial aid are disbursed in more than one disbursement. Typically, each of your financial aid sources is available by the first day of classes of each semester for which you are enrolled. After that, financial aid disbursements occur every Thursday morning, and are credited to the student account. Any living-expense funds, in excess of tuition, fees, and on-campus housing, are disbursed to your personal bank account (if you have set up direct deposit) by the following Saturday or Monday. Financial aid disbursement cannot occur more than a few days before the beginning of each semester. To avoid delays in receiving your disbursement, please review the Checklist for Disbursement to ensure all required paperwork is complete.

  • For the Fall 2026 semester, the first disbursement to pay your tuition will occur approximately one week prior to the start of the term, with your living-expense funds being direct deposited to your account on or around the first day of classes. The first day of classes is August 24.
  • For the Winter 2027 semester, the first disbursement to pay your tuition will occur approximately one week prior to the start of the term, with your living-expense funds being direct deposited to your account on or around the first day of classes. The first day of classes is January 13.

To set up direct deposit, go to Wolverine Access under Student Business > Payroll & Compensation > Direct Deposit. If you do not sign up for direct deposit, your refund check will be mailed to the current address that is listed on Wolverine Access. It is imperative that you keep your address updated, so that any excess funds are mailed to the correct address. You may change your address on Wolverine Access under Student Business > Campus Personal Information > Addresses. Please update your address at least two weeks before any disbursement is expected.
