A native Michigander, Sam received his JD from Stanford Law School in 2016. Prior to joining OCP, he was an associate in the Corporate and Securities practice group at Schiff Hardin LLP in Chicago, where he advised foundations, endowments, and other institutional investors in making and exiting private equity investments. He also represented pro bono clients in family law matters in partnership with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, and was active in the firm’s summer and recruiting programs.
Sam is a 2008 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and served as an officer in the U.S. Army for five years. When not counseling law students, he is probably chasing his toddler around the house, tinkering with some new kitchen gadget, or obsessing over Michigan football.
