Jeffrey Finger, an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School, is a managing director and US co-head of the debt advisory and restructuring group at Jefferies. 

Finger has more than 25 years of experience advising companies, boards of directors, financial sponsors, and creditors across a range of industries in restructuring, recapitalization, liability management, financing, and mergers and acquisitions transactions. He has advised clients in many of the most complex restructuring and debt advisory engagements, involving more than $60 billion in debt and more than $15 billion in financing raised.  

Before joining Jefferies, Finger was a partner in the debt advisory and restructuring group at Centerview Partners. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director at Miller Buckfire & Co. and a member of the financial restructuring group of its predecessor, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein; he also worked in the investment banking division of Wasserstein Perella.   

Finger is a frequent lecturer and panel participant at industry conferences on current topics of interest in restructuring. He also is the co-author of a chapter about Chapter 11 sale processes in Navigating Today’s Environment: The Directors’ and Officers’ Guide to Restructuring (2023).
