Dani Schulkin, White House Senior Advisor on Homeland Security for the Obama Administration, will discuss the former, current, and future dynamics of executive branch policymaking and the tools of accountability available to policymakers. Ms. Schulkin will also provide an overview of the Just Security Student Staff Editor program for students interested in getting involved.

Ms. Schulkin also served as Senior Advisor for National Security Affairs to the Deputy Attorney General at DOJ. She currently serves as Director of Democracy Initiatives at Just Security and teaches at NYU School of Law. Prof McQuade, who supervises the Student Staff Editor program at Michigan Law School, will moderate.
