Student Directed Work (SDW) credit is a category of mandatory pass/fail graded credit, available through an application and approval process for student work done outside the classroom in connection with student-run activities. To qualify for SDW credit, student work must provide substantial academic enrichment and skills development. Students may earn up to two SDW credits for any one particular activity, up to a maximum of four SDW credits during their law school career.
