This course will examine cutting edge issues at the intersection of law and philosophy. The format has yet to be determined due to an unresolved institutional issue. One possibility is that it will be structured as a workshop, with invited scholars presenting works in progress on an array of topics. Another possibility is that it will be a traditional seminar, exploring a central question in jurisprudence — whether people are obligated to obey the law, and if so, why. More information about the format and content of the seminar will be emailed to students who enroll early in the summer. If you are interested in more information, please contact Professor Hershovitz.
