Impact of Sarbanes-Oxley on Doing Business

The objective of the course is to actively engage both law students and business school students in the business realities they will face when attempting to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley corporate law regulations adopted in the wake of recent corporate scandals. Both business school students and law students need to understand the history of the regulation, its purposes, and how compliance affects the way firms do business. During most weeks, one session will involve high level discussion with outside experts. Business school students will be teamed with law students for group projects.
