Welcome to Creating Conference Microsites

Conference Microsites are a standard Comms Team product created to support conferences and other academic events hosted by Michigan Law faculty members and programs. 

A Conference Microsite consists of three Standard Elements:

  • a Welcome Message with CTAs, using the Relevant Links 2 component
  • a Conference Schedule, using the Program component
  • Directions, using the HTML & Scripts component

Instructions and best practices for using each of these components are documented below. If a conference requires information beyond these Standard Elements, please consult with the Digital Content Strategist, Content Director, or Chief Communications Officer to identify your requirements.

Event Description Field 1

Each event should have a description that contains useful information for attendees (or prospective attendees), including links to critical information or actions.  There are three Event Description Fields available for your use for each item in the schedule.

Please note:

If an event does not have a description, the plus sign (“+”) to the right of the event will still appear, and the expand functionality will still work, even though no additional content appears.
