Expenses not included in this budget: costs for dependents (accompanying spouse, partner, children), travel to and from Ann Arbor, costs associated with having a car (which you don't need in Ann Arbor)
NB: Ann Arbor is, generally, a relatively low cost of living city by U.S. standards, particularly in the summer when demand for housing is low. This budget is based on research undertaken by the Law School's Financial Aid Office and is intended to represent average costs for most students. Individual students may choose to purchase luxury goods and services with the understanding that such costs are in addition to the budgeted figures above.
