Virginia became the Assistant Director for Reference & Research Services in the fall of 2021.

Previously, she was Head of Reference & Research Services. Prior to 2019, Virginia served as the Reference and Faculty Services Librarian. 

In addition to managing reference services for all patrons and research consultations and instruction for law students, she oversees the library's faculty research service. Her master's thesis on law library partnerships with clinical programs won the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL)/LexisNexis Call for Papers award for the Student Division.

Neisler is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, where she serves on the Academic Law Libraries Section's Faculty Services Committee and the Research and Patron Instruction Services Section's Research Instruction Committee. She is also a member of the North Carolina State Bar (currently inactive) and the American Bar Association.
