Professor Kelly Pfeifer is a clinical teaching fellow in the University of Michigan Law School's Community Enterprise Clinic, where she focuses her practice on providing transactional legal services to neighborhood-based entrepreneurs and small businesses in the city of Detroit.

Prior to joining the Law School faculty, she spent 12 years at Community Law Center, Inc., a public interest law firm in Baltimore. There, as supervising attorney, Professor Pfeifer counseled nonprofit organizations in a variety of transactional matters including entity choice, organizational documents, tax exemption applications and compliance, capacity building, and contracts. She also advocated for community-based nonprofits in land use and equitable development matters by appearing before administrative agencies and negotiating community benefits agreements with developers. During law school, she was a student attorney in the Community Development Legal Theory and Practice course.
